Fairtrade Fortnight will take place from Monday 21 September – Sunday 4 October 2026
This year we are talking about Fair Pay and highlighting how support for Fairtrade can drive fairer pay for the people we rely on around the world. This can be through our everyday shopping choices and by calling for change in the unfair systems that hold them back.
2026 also marks 20 years since Guernsey became a recognised Fairtrade Island for its community-wide support for Fairtrade. And there are lots of opportunities for you to get involved with the celebrations:
Corporate walking football tournament using Fairtrade footballs, organised by Guernsey Walking Football Club in support of Male Uprising Guernsey and Pink Ladies, Friday 11th September at KGV.
‘20 Photos for 20 Years’ display to celebrate Guernsey’s 20th anniversary as a Fairtrade Island at Guille-Allès Library and Beau Sejour concourse. You can view it online here too.
Fairtrade tea break for States Members, Wednesday 30th September in the Grand Hall of the Royal Court building, 12.30-2.30pm.
Fairtrade stall in Market Square, Saturday 3rd October 12-3pm. Fairtrade products sale, tastings and games.
Fairtrade film screening with Fairtrade refreshments, Tuesday 6th October from 6.30pm in the Dorey room at Guille-Allès Library.

Children aged between 4 and 16 can also get involved in our Schools’ Competition to take and send us a photo of something that represents fairness to them. The deadline for entries is Friday 9th October 2026. See here for more information.
