The Clean Earth Trust

The Clean Earth Trust is a local Guernsey based charity helping limit human impact on the environment. Established in 2018 by Andrew Munro, the Trust was formed following the success of its #pickitupguernsey campaign through which it won, and was nominated for, several community awards.

Since its inception the team have launched a number of initiatives to raise awareness of the growing challenges that face our natural world. The charity focuses on community led and data driven projects that create meaningful and measurable impact, alongside campaigns that highlight important local issues concerning the health of our island and its inhabitants.

In addition to projects and campaigns, the Trust runs outreach programmes with schools, youth organisations and corporate groups.

The Clean Earth Trust and Fairtrade Guernsey are proud of our now annual joint beach clean events where volunteers pick up litter in return for Fairtrade refreshments and cakes! In 2019, to celebrate 25 years of the Fairtrade Mark, we recreated the recognisable logo on the Vazon beach using rubbish collected that same day.
